Hello, I'm Giselle! I'm an aspiring designer with a background in architecture, graphic design, and community advocacy. I am eagerly furthering my passions as a second-year MFA student in the Graphic Design/Design & Visual Communications (MxD) program at the University of Florida.
Graphic design and traveling are my passions. First discovering breathtaking fan-made content through different social media platforms inspired me to create and publish my own using my iPad. And although I was a beginner, it all changed when I went to Mexico for the first time in 2017. Being in my parents’ motherland in such surreal places inspired me to create and capture art based on my culture. From then, it evolved into an activity to which I dedicated more and more time. Gaining experience through the graphic design academy at my high school, pursuing an arts degree, working with nonprofits and corporate companies, and taking on freelance work in my spare time have allowed me to expand my skill set.
Currently, I am researching how I can make a difference in education and queer spaces using design as the main component, and my long-term career goal is to work in product design, creating accessible, human-centered digital experiences.
